大布 (Brian’s) Intercultural Preview Post Lesson 1

1.      认识新朋友的时候，大家会怎么介绍自己名字的由来？如果让你介绍自己的中文名字，你会怎么介绍？(At least 5 sentences)

认识新朋友和别中国人时候，我不平常介绍自己名字的由来，但是如果人问了我，我会说：我二〇一九年开始学习，一个人自己。我觉得了需要中文的名字，所以问了Google。我想要我的中国名字简单的，也容易写的。Google告诉了我：“布赖恩“。布赖恩没有意思，但是布赖恩跟Brian听一样。我想要越来越简单，所以做小。我用”大布“因为一共有九笔画。这个名字没有中文的意思，但是我可能写了。

2.      搬家的时候，大家一般会找家人、朋友还是搬家公司？为什么？(At least 5 sentences)

很多人用每个人都搬家。比如：一些人用三和十朋友，以后给他们啤酒和比萨。别人用家人搬家因为搬家是特别时候。最后别人用搬家公司。我来了温哥华时候用公司.  除了公司很方便以外，还我非常忙了。很多人，很多方法搬家了！

3.      大家对住学生宿舍的看法是什么？怎么说？ （父母的看法？大学生的看法？你的看法？）(At least 5 sentences)

我觉得学生宿舍好一些人，但是不每个人。 一些新生没有住了家人外，所以宿舍的工人帮助他们，再说每天都用汽车去从家到大学校太贵了也太多了小时了。我自己开始大学我是二十二岁。我又工作又住在我的家，不跟家人。所以我喜欢住在一个人，也不在校内宿舍。

1.      When you meet new people, how do you introduce the origin of your name? If you were asked to introduce your Chinese name, how would you introduce it? (At least 5 sentences)

When I meet new friends and other Chinese people, I don't usually introduce the origin of my name, but if someone asks me, I say: I started studying in 2019, by myself. I felt that I needed a Chinese name, so I asked Google. I wanted my Chinese name to be simple and easy to write. Google told me: "布赖恩". It wasn't interesting, but it sounded just like Brian. I wanted to keep it simple, so made it small. I used "大布" because there are nine strokes in total. The name has no Chinese meaning, but at least I can write it.

2.      When you move, would you typically ask your family, friends or a moving company? Why? (At least 5 sentences)

A lot of people use many people to move. For example: Some people use three-to-ten friends and give them beer and pizza later. Others use their family to move because moving is a special time. Finally, others use companies to move. When I came to Vancouver, I used a company. In addition to the convenience of a company, I was very busy. Many people, many ways to move!

3.      What are your thoughts on living in dorms? What makes you say so? (What do parents think? What do university students think? What do you think? ) (At least 5 sentences)

I think the student dormitory is good for some people, but not all. Some freshmen don't live away from their families, so dorm workers help them, besides, it is too expensive and too many hours to commute from home to college by car every day. I started college myself I was twenty-two years old. I worked and live in my own home, not with my family. So I liked to live alone and not in an on-campus dorm.
