大家好！我叫美爱。我是三年学生。我在学习人类学。虽然我的专业是人类学，我也很喜欢学中文。我上中学的时候开始学习中文，我也在UBC上了两个学期中文。我上中文课因为我觉得学中文非常有意思，我也希望再去中国。我第一次去中国，我不会说中文。要是我能再去，希望我可以多说，多懂。

我住在中国的朋友教我两字。这两字是“蜜蜂”和“蜂蜜”。这两字很像。蜜蜂的意思是“bee”。蜂蜜的意思是“honey”。有一次我对朋友说“蜜蜂”但是我想说“蜂蜜“。这两字也让她有一点糊涂。虽然我说错了，他还明白了我的意思。

My goal for this year is to get better at speaking conversationally with others. What I specifically really want to improve at is my confidence in speaking and my ability to respond without having to think too much. To overcome this, I will try to maximize my time in OP and in class as well as spend time practicing responses to common questions. Mostly, though, I have to be okay with making mistakes and one way I can do that is by reminding myself that mistakes help me learn.
